TRIA Laser Hair Removal System
What is Tria?
Tria is a laser hair removal system that can be used at home, which achieves professional and long lasting results. T0 prove this, the co-founder of the company, Mark Weckwerth, treated a 3″ x 3″ (7.5cm by 7.5cm) square patch on his leg once per month from May 2003 until January 2004 using the Tria system. You can view the results here:

How does Tria work?
It works by a process called Photothermolysis, which is the process by which the Tria laser targets the dark pigment in hair.
Photothermolysis is the process by which the TRIA System’s laser energy targets the dark pigment in the hair, but avoids the skin. In this way, the hair follicle is disabled and the hair gradually falls out and does not regrow.
It takes several treatments with the Tria to permanently remove hair. This is because hair grows in cycles, but the follicle can only be disable whilst the hair is actively growing. So during any one treatment, some hair follicles will be in the dormant phase and thus will not be affected during that particular treatment. Treating the area over the course of several months ensures that all hair follicles are ultimately disabled.
For the best results, Tria recommend one treatment every other week for the first three months then one treatment per month for months three to five. This is the average amount of time it takes for the majority of the hair follicles to move through the growth cycle and be treated.
Why Tria?
The advantage of Tria is that you get the professional results that you would achieve in an expensive beauty salon in the comfort of your own home. So you not only save money – you have a more convenient way to remove your hair. Do not compare Tria with cheaper devices which are far less effective and do not achieve salon perfect results.
Tria is the gold standard of hair removal treatments that was originally invented by Tria’s scientists for professional use.
FDA approved
The Tria has been approved by the FDA for hair removal at home.
